Spontaneous arcs

The Arcade lighting collection brings together two seemingly opposing worlds. On one hand, it draws inspiration from simple electrical cables with exposed light sources, whose natural sag creates a spontaneous line in space. On the other, it references the expressive aesthetic of classic chandeliers, long regarded as symbols of ceremonial and representative lighting.

Arcade merges these contrasting approaches within a single lighting concept. Graceful arcs of synthetic silk cord span the space like arcades, carrying cylindrical glass elements with softly diffused light. The apparent levitation of the light sources creates a tension between technical simplicity and decorative elegance, lending the collection a distinctive lightness and a subtle sense of play.

Arcade works both as individual lighting objects and as larger compositions with multiple glass elements, forming a contemporary interpretation of the chandelier. The adjustable suspension and the rhythm of the cable arcs give rise to dynamic lighting compositions, that are well suited to private interiors as well as hotel, restaurant, and public spaces.

What is the production lead-time?

BROKIS’s lead-time is 10 weeks, from ordering to leaving the factory. Each piece of handblown glass lighting passes through the hands of more than 30 highly skilled craftsmen, whose expertise and dedication ensure the highest standards of quality and authenticity.

Boris Klimek is an award-winning Slovak product and interior designer based in Prague. His work seeks to create conceptual overlaps, games, and stories, and the resulting products are functional but also poetic, playful, and capable of awakening the imagination and stirring emotion.

Slight differences in colouration are inherent to the production of handblown glass, yet they must remain within tolerance.

Spotlights integrated into the lower section casts a beam downwards, expanding its use to more focused, functional illumination.

What are the shipping rates from the Czech Republic?

Delivery is £99 ex.VAT from the Czech Republic to the UK, and free delivery on a total goods value of £2,350 ex.VAT. International deliveries will need to be quoted before ordering – with customs duties handled by BROKIS.

What is your policy on order cancellations and returns?

As each BROKIS light is custom made-to-order, we are unable to accept returns. However, we provide a 5-day grace period from the date of purchase to amend or cancel your order before it enters production.

BROKIS’s commitment to sustainable, precision manufacturing is independently verified through EPD and LCA certification. Quality control checks have lead to a failure rate of just 0.9%, reflecting the exceptional quality built into every light.

Designers and architects can loan glass and finish samples via the sample request form.

Bohemian precision guarantee

Precision in craft demands precision in delivery. Every BROKIS piece ordered through EDC ships within ten weeks of order confirmation. Should we exceed this commitment, we refund 5% of your net order value for each week of delay, to a 20% maximum. Not a promise of speed. A promise of certainty.
