The Shadows collection is a take on the famed, timeless lights found in French ateliers, and its typology pays tribute to that legacy. The combination of handblown glass, handcrafted wood, and classic shaping has given rise to a light of ageless elegance.
The collection is characterized by a handblown glass shade set upon on a handcrafted wooden body. The clean contours and finish are accentuated by the concealed light source.
The Shadows Set Free is special not only for its wide spectrum of glass colour options, surface finishes, and types of wood. But also because the lights can be combined according to project requirements. They are intended for interiors and, thanks to multiple combination possibilities, are well suited to a broad range of installations.
BROKIS’s lead-time is 10 weeks, from ordering to leaving the factory. Each piece of handblown glass lighting passes through the hands of more than 30 highly skilled craftsmen, whose expertise and dedication ensure the highest standards of quality and authenticity.
BROKIS art director Lucie Koldova is an acclaimed Czech product and furniture designer. Her creations, objects of desire, include glass sculptures, glass lighting, poetic gallery pieces, and limited series works. Breathtaking colours, unusual proportions, and vibrant formal contrasts move her work seemingly beyond the realm of the possible.
Slight differences in colouration are inherent to the production of handblown glass, yet they must remain within tolerance.

BROKIS lights are available with a variety of mounting options. Surface mounting works in all situations. This also applies to suspended lights up to a roof slope of 30°. For mounting flat, pure and recessed lighting, a suspended ceiling or cavity wall must be available for flush mounting.
For almost all BROKIS lights, a solution can be found with a sideways inlet if the electrical outlet is not in the right place.
The lights from the Shadows collection have a special integrated connector developed by BROKIS to facilitate installation and cleaning.
A standard length of cable is included in the price of Shadows Set Free; with an overall height of 45cm – 211.3cm.
An extra cable length up to 500cm is optional during the ordering process. Lengths over 500cm must be consulted and priced individually by BROKIS at EDC.
TRIMLESS eliminates the need for a conventional ceiling canopy and simplifies installation in drywall ceilings. It gives ceiling installations a clean, minimalistic appearance and provides a new degree of variability in creating original lighting compositions.
Delivery is £99 ex.VAT from the Czech Republic to the UK, and free delivery on a total goods value of £2,350 ex.VAT. International deliveries will need to be quoted before ordering – with customs duties handled by BROKIS.
As each BROKIS light is custom made-to-order, we are unable to accept returns. However, we provide a 5-day grace period from the date of purchase to amend or cancel your order before it enters production.

BROKIS’s commitment to sustainable, precision manufacturing is independently verified through EPD and LCA certification. Quality control checks have lead to a failure rate of just 0.9%, reflecting the exceptional quality built into every light.

Precision in craft demands precision in delivery. Every BROKIS piece ordered through EDC ships within ten weeks of order confirmation. Should we exceed this commitment, we refund 5% of your net order value for each week of delay, to a 20% maximum. Not a promise of speed. A promise of certainty.
