The outline of Spectra resembles the classic typology of a table lamp, which has always been a companion to humans during evening sessions. The shape of the mantle, which serves as the shade and base in one, evokes a sense of levity and loftiness.
The archetypal silhouette in a purity-of-form concept has an opening with a double-sided light source in an aluminium fixture. The flat source casts its light gently in two directions, upwards and downwards into the glass base, creating intimate atmospheric effects. A specialized method of glassblowing is needed to create the mantle as a single piece. The overall appearance of the light emphasizes the idea that beauty lies in simplicity.

BROKIS art director Lucie Koldova is an acclaimed Czech product and furniture designer. Her creations, objects of desire, include glass sculptures, glass lighting, poetic gallery pieces, and limited series works. Breathtaking colours, unusual proportions, and vibrant formal contrasts move her work seemingly beyond the realm of the possible.
Slight differences in colouration are inherent to the production of handblown glass, yet they must remain within tolerance.

Delivery is £99 ex.VAT from the Czech Republic to the UK, and free delivery on a total goods value of £2,350 ex.VAT. International deliveries will need to be quoted before ordering – with customs duties handled by BROKIS.
As each BROKIS light is custom made-to-order, we are unable to accept returns. However, we provide a 5-day grace period from the date of purchase to amend or cancel your order before it enters production.
