Brokis Beacon light sculpture radiates before a glass building at night, London Eye glowing in the background.

This September, a monumental light installation will take centre stage in London: Beacon. This extraordinary collaboration between the Czech lighting brand BROKIS and the London-based creative studio MATERIALS ASSEMBLE was produced especially for London Design Festival.

Comprising 292 segments of BROKISGLASS – a distinctive material crafted from recycled glass shards – Beacon takes its cue from the bold, uncompromising lines of the brutalist Hayward Gallery, beside which the work will stand on the South Bank.

The project’s creator is Lee Broom, one of the most distinctive British product designers. His work is a blend of originality, luxury, and flawlessly executed craftsmanship. The furniture and lighting collections bearing his name have won admiration from experts and customers around the world.

Broom collaborates with some of the most prestigious brands – Christian Louboutin, Mulberry, Bergdorf Goodman, Rémy Martin XO, and Wedgwood – and his designs appear on magazine covers worldwide. They are unique yet familiar, drawing on classical styles that he reinterprets in unexpected ways.
