Inspired by the fleeting beauty of a comet traversing the night sky, Brokis Comet brings celestial wonder into contemporary interiors. Designed by Simona Sbordone, this striking collection combines traditional Czech glassmaking with modern innovation to create pendant lights reminiscent of stardust and cosmic trails.
Each Brokis Comet pendant is hand-blown from laminated glass, with grains of silica sand carefully added between the layers to create a unique celestial effect. This meticulous technique renders light diffusion unlike anything else soft, ethereal, and utterly captivating. The suspended particles catch and scatter illumination throughout the surrounding space, evoking the mysterious glow of distant galaxies.
Beyond its visual poetry, Brokis Comet incorporates sophisticated technology: efficient LED sources, diffusers for both direct and indirect lighting, and intuitive touch dimming that puts ambience at your fingertips. Available in both round and square variants across multiple sizes, the collection offers extraordinary flexibility – from minimalist single-pendant installations to breathtaking curtains of light perfect for grand staircases and double-height spaces. Transparent, smoke grey, smoke brown, and red glass options complement brushed bronze, champagne, and graphite metalwork finishes.

BROKIS’s lead-time is 10 weeks, from ordering to leaving the factory. Each piece of handblown glass lighting passes through the hands of more than 30 highly skilled craftsmen, whose expertise and dedication ensure the highest standards of quality and authenticity.
Simona Sbordone has collaborated with some of Italy’s most renowned design brands and developed a global network of clients. She applies her expertise, versatility, and refined skill to a wide range of creative disciplines, including interior styling, set design, interior decoration, and industrial design.
Slight differences in colouration are inherent to the production of handblown glass, yet they must remain within tolerance.

BROKIS lights are available with a variety of mounting options. Surface mounting works in all situations. This also applies to suspended lights up to a roof slope of 30°. For mounting flat, pure and recessed lighting, a suspended ceiling or cavity wall must be available for flush mounting.
For almost all BROKIS lights, a solution can be found with a sideways inlet if the electrical outlet is not in the right place.
TRIMLESS eliminates the need for a conventional ceiling canopy and simplifies installation in drywall ceilings. It gives ceiling installations a clean, minimalistic appearance and provides a new degree of variability in creating original lighting compositions.
Delivery is £99 ex.VAT from the Czech Republic to the UK, and free delivery on a total goods value of £2,350 ex.VAT. International deliveries will need to be quoted before ordering – with customs duties handled by BROKIS.
As each BROKIS light is custom made-to-order, we are unable to accept returns. However, we provide a 5-day grace period from the date of purchase to amend or cancel your order before it enters production.

BROKIS’s commitment to sustainable, precision manufacturing is independently verified through EPD and LCA certification. Quality control checks have lead to a failure rate of just 0.9%, reflecting the exceptional quality built into every light.
Designers and architects can loan glass and finish samples via the sample request form.

Precision in craft demands precision in delivery. Every Brokis Comet ordered through EDC ships within ten weeks of order confirmation. Should we exceed this commitment, we refund 5% of your net order value for each week of delay, to a 20% maximum. Not a promise of speed. A promise of certainty.
