Brokis Double by LCM Marin explores consonant forms through material duality. Award-winning Czech glass globes crafted from multiple layers of molten glass unite with lightweight aluminium components featuring distinctive top handles. Wire rope suspension creates visual equilibrium between scattered light and shadow, evoking portable luminaires through innovative material interdependence.
Brokis Double is based on a shape consisting of two elements made from two different materials: glass and lightweight aluminium. These materials depend on one another to generate a unique and consonant form that celebrates the balance between craft and engineering.
The glass globe terminating in a metal ring provides a suggestive effect, with the handle on top alluding to the idea of transporting light wherever atmosphere is needed. In the pendant variant, the upper metal section with wire rope seeks equilibrium in the scattered light and shadows as they pass through the lower metal ring and globe.
The globe is crafted from multiple layers of molten glass that are carefully scrutinized by master glassmakers at Janštejn Glassworks prior to blowing. Each layer receives utmost attention to ensure the exceptional clarity and color depth that defines Czech glassmaking tradition. The luminance of the LED light source is softened by a diffuser, creating gentle atmospheric presence.
Available in floor, table, and three pendant heights, Brokis Double brings suspended balance to interiors through the harmonious interplay of handblown glass and refined aluminium. Glass options include transparent, smoke grey, smoke brown, opaline, triplex opal, and olive green with matte black finishes.
Brokis Double a Consonant Form
BROKIS’s lead-time is 10 weeks, from ordering to leaving the factory. Each piece of handblown glass lighting passes through the hands of more than 30 highly skilled craftsmen, whose expertise and dedication ensure the highest standards of quality and authenticity.
The search for balance between form, function, materials, construction needs, curiosity, and experimentation are the main features of the creative process from which the projects of the Venetian studio LCM Marin come to life.
Slight differences in colouration are inherent to the production of handblown glass, yet they must remain within tolerance.

Delivery is £99 ex.VAT from the Czech Republic to the UK, and free delivery on a total goods value of £2,350 ex.VAT. International deliveries will need to be quoted before ordering – with customs duties handled by BROKIS.
As each BROKIS light is custom made-to-order, we are unable to accept returns. However, we provide a 5-day grace period from the date of purchase to amend or cancel your order before it enters production.
