Designed by Chiaramonte Marin, each Brokis Knot luminaire transforms material opposition into sculptural harmony, where Czech glassmaking tradition encounters unexpected elements to create stately, forthright illumination.
Every Brokis Knot emerges from master glassblowers who craft full-bodied globes in varying shapes and sizes. The rope penetrates each clear glass form, descending through the luminaire to end in the collection’s defining element – the knot itself. This robust knot seemingly pulls the bottom of the glass inward, creating a bemusing plastic effect where solid material appears to yield to tension and pressure.
Brokis Knot collections balance striking contrasts: gentle glass curves against tactile rope austerity, transparent clarity against knotted density. LED light sources mount beneath elegant stamped metal hoods, protected by hand-blown opal diffusors. The rope ends receive metal caps, completing the technical precision. From dining tables to public interiors, Brokis Knot pendants and table lights transform spaces through the dignified interplay of opposing materials and sculptural presence.

BROKIS’s lead-time is 10 weeks, from ordering to leaving the factory. Each piece of handblown glass lighting passes through the hands of more than 30 highly skilled craftsmen, whose expertise and dedication ensure the highest standards of quality and authenticity.
Alfredo Chiaramonte and Marco Marin are the masterminds behind the renowned eponymous Italian design studio. They share a passion for objects and products that stand out in interior spaces, in the graphic arts, in industry, and in lighting design.
Slight differences in colouration are inherent to the production of handblown glass, yet they must remain within tolerance.

BROKIS lights are available with a variety of mounting options. Surface mounting works in all situations. This also applies to suspended lights up to a roof slope of 30°. For mounting flat, pure and recessed lighting, a suspended ceiling or cavity wall must be available for flush mounting.
For almost all BROKIS lights, a solution can be found with a sideways inlet if the electrical outlet is not in the right place.
Delivery is £99 ex.VAT from the Czech Republic to the UK, and free delivery on a total goods value of £2,350 ex.VAT. International deliveries will need to be quoted before ordering – with customs duties handled by BROKIS.
As each BROKIS light is custom made-to-order, we are unable to accept returns. However, we provide a 5-day grace period from the date of purchase to amend or cancel your order before it enters production.

BROKIS’s commitment to sustainable, precision manufacturing is independently verified through EPD and LCA certification. Quality control checks have lead to a failure rate of just 0.9%, reflecting the exceptional quality built into every light.
Designers and architects can loan glass and finish samples via the sample request form.

Precision in craft demands precision in delivery. Every Brokis Knot ordered through EDC ships within ten weeks of order confirmation. Should we exceed this commitment, we refund 5% of your net order value for each week of delay, to a 20% maximum. Not a promise of speed. A promise of certainty.
