That singular moment when molten glass yields to pressure and assumes its final form — this is the essence of Brokis Under Pressure. Designed by Boris Klimek, this bold collection captures the transformation from liquid to solid, embodying both strength and fragility in dynamic glass forms.

Each hand-blown pendant appears alive with movement, as though invisible forces are still bending the glass to their will. The organic shapes evoke deformation under external pressure, creating striking visual tension that commands attention. This dramatic effect is heightened by technical precision: a centre-line threaded rod penetrates each delicate glass globe, bringing geometric regularity and industrial elegance to the composition.

Brokis Under Pressure delivers compelling contrast — the malleable, fluid nature of Czech glass against the uncompromising precision of metal. Available in transparent, smoke grey, smoke brown, and opaline finishes with brushed black, bronze, or champagne lacquered metalwork, the collection offers three pendant variants: Vertical Most, Vertical More, and Vertical Little. Each piece represents Czech glassmaking mastery, where traditional craft meets contemporary design vision.

BROKIS’s lead-time is 10 weeks, from ordering to leaving the factory. Each piece of handblown glass lighting passes through the hands of more than 30 highly skilled craftsmen, whose expertise and dedication ensure the highest standards of quality and authenticity.

Boris Klimek is an award-winning Slovak product and interior designer based in Prague. His work seeks to create conceptual overlaps, games, and stories, and the resulting products are functional but also poetic, playful, and capable of awakening the imagination and stirring emotion.

Slight differences in colouration are inherent to the production of handblown glass, yet they must remain within tolerance.

BROKIS lights are available with a variety of mounting options. Surface mounting works in all situations. This also applies to suspended lights up to a roof slope of 30°. For mounting flat, pure and recessed lighting, a suspended ceiling or cavity wall must be available for flush mounting.

For almost all BROKIS lights, a solution can be found with a sideways inlet if the electrical outlet is not in the right place.

Delivery is £99 ex.VAT from the Czech Republic to the UK, and free delivery on a total goods value of £2,350 ex.VAT. International deliveries will need to be quoted before ordering – with customs duties handled by BROKIS.

As each BROKIS light is custom made-to-order, we are unable to accept returns. However, we provide a 5-day grace period from the date of purchase to amend or cancel your order before it enters production.

BROKIS’s commitment to sustainable, precision manufacturing is independently verified through EPD and LCA certification. Quality control checks have lead to a failure rate of just 0.9%, reflecting the exceptional quality built into every light.
