Consonant form
Double is based on a shape consisting of two elements made from two different materials – glass and lightweight aluminium. These materials depend on one another to generate a unique and consonant form.
The glass globe terminating in a metal ring provides a suggestive effect, with the handle on top alluding to the idea of transporting the light.
In the Double Medium Pendant, the upper metal section with wire rope seeks equilibrium in the scattered light and shadows as they pass through the lower metal ring and globe, the latter crafted from multiple layers of molten glass that are carefully scrutinized by the master glassmaker prior to blowing. The luminance of the LED light source is softened by a diffusor.
BROKIS’s lead-time is 10 weeks, from ordering to leaving the factory. Each piece of handblown glass lighting passes through the hands of more than 30 highly skilled craftsmen, whose expertise and dedication ensure the highest standards of quality and authenticity.
The search for balance between form, function, materials, construction needs, curiosity, and experimentation are the main features of the creative process from which the projects of the Venetian studio LCM Marin come to life.
Slight differences in colouration are inherent to the production of handblown glass, yet they must remain within tolerance.

BROKIS lights are available with a variety of mounting options. Surface mounting works in all situations. This also applies to suspended lights up to a roof slope of 30°. For mounting flat, pure and recessed lighting, a suspended ceiling or cavity wall must be available for flush mounting.
For almost all BROKIS lights, a solution can be found with a sideways inlet if the electrical outlet is not in the right place.
A standard length of cable is included in the price of Double Medium Pendant; with an overall height of 61.5cm – 261.5cm.
An extra cable length up to 500cm is optional during the ordering process. Lengths over 500cm must be consulted and priced individually by BROKIS at EDC.
Delivery is £99 ex.VAT from the Czech Republic to the UK, and free delivery on a total goods value of £2,350 ex.VAT. International deliveries will need to be quoted before ordering – with customs duties handled by BROKIS.
As each BROKIS light is custom made-to-order, we are unable to accept returns. However, we provide a 5-day grace period from the date of purchase to amend or cancel your order before it enters production.
